For my demonstration speech I will be showing the audience how to make and follow a simple recipe with 3 basic ingredients. The best way to add credibility to my speech is to show by example. My meal of choice is a grilled cheese sandwich, so to make my statement credible, I will be providing a list of the 3 ingredients needed in order to complete the task, with the addition of a stove and pan. I think by showing the audience that they can use whatever cheese, butter, and bread they have on hand, will prove just how basic the ingredient list is. Once we have the items from the ingredient list, I will be linking in pictures of the process as well as the amount of time spent doing each step so that the audience has an exact idea of how long each step should take and what that step entails. Doing these things in relation to one another will support my claim that a grilled cheese sandwich is both a simple task, and a meal that calls on simple ingredients. I think knowing how to make a quick meal with ingredients you are likely to have available is helpful to any modern day household who finds their time spread as thin as butter.
