Given the nature of the topic some discussion should be developed around the political economy of social systems (particularly focusing on the United States). Correlating the behavior of racism with other forms of social constructs, e.g., caste, class, and gender-based systems is appropriated. Students should state clearly how “race” based systems are used to determine the distribution of income and wealth and how racism as a behavioral mechanism is used for this purpose. Examples of these policies should be presented.
