Initial Post
In this post, focus on the organization where you work, or any organization that interests you. Use the framework presented in the Playing to Win reading to answer the five questions shown below. You will need to be brief, so focus on the key ideas for each issue.
What is your organization’s winning aspiration? Explain what the organization is trying to achieve.
Where does the organization play? Briefly describe, using the approach suggested by Lafley and Martin.
How does the organization win? State what differentiates the organization and allows it to beat its competitors.
What are three capabilities the organization must rely on to win?
What three systems are most important to support the capabilities?
The goal is to apply the question framework to an organization. You do not have to be complete or perfect in your evaluation. You should answer all five questions. So what? Conclude your post with a statement of what your analysis means. What does this tell you about your organization’s strategy and how it invests in its opportunities?
Address all the items listed and follow APA citation guidelines. Refer to the syllabus for length requirements.
