You are a consultant for Elan Solutions Group, a large consulting firm that assists entrepreneurs in establishing their start-up businesses. You have a new client named LegalAssist. LegalAssist is a law firm providing low cost and limited scope legal services to the public. They have approximately ten attorneys and about a dozen legal support staff. The firm’s managing partners, Marisa and Nicole, have retained your firm to assist in the development of their start-up, including the law firm’s cybersecurity policy. They want to know what they should consider in building their firm’s cybersecurity policy and why.
First, think about the advice you read in the assigned article, Cybercrime: The Next Entrepreneurial Growth Business? by WIRED. Conduct additional research on the issues a new business should consider when developing its cybersecurity policies.
