Eating Disorders in Teens

This is a formal written assignment which requires students to conform to three general requirements. First, the assignment should be complete and inclusive of all components listed below. Second, avoid using slangs and proofread to detect and correct grammatical errors and typos. Third, cite sources appropriately (APA 7th). The entire paper should be double-spaced, in 12pt font size Times New Roman, and no more than 5 pages plus references. The goal of this assignment is to help you familiarize with the empirical findings of a particular health topic among a specific population. Therefore, the first step for you is to identify (1) a health issue and (2) a specific population affected by or vulnerable to the health issue. These will serve the opening paragraph of your mini research paper. Essentially, by identifying the health issue and its vulnerable population, you are able to address the significance and necessity of your research paper. The paper should follow the structure specified below:
Abstract (stands on its own page, not included in the page limit). Describe your research purpose and briefly synthesize what you have found.
Introduction (one page or less). Identify the health issue in a specific population and argue its importance and urgency. Essentially, tell your readers why they should attend to it. Note: you are encouraged to use population-based statistics to support your arguments in this section; however, you are not advised to spend all five sources in this section. Save most sources for the next section.
Literature review (3-4 pages). This is the most important part of this assignment. You need to review empirical research articles published in scholarly journals on the topic of selection. Instead of writing an annotated bibliography for each reviewed article, you need to synthesize similarities and differences in the reviewed research in terms of their (1) theoretical frameworks, (2) research methods, and (3) findings. You should also discuss whether and how differences in theoretical frameworks and methods affect similarities/differences in findings.
Conclusion. Spend 2-3 paragraphs concluding your paper and pointing the directions of future research.
References (stands on its own page, not included in the page limit). APA 7th is used for this paper to generate reference list. If you are not used to APA style, you should consult reliable sources such as Purdue Owl Lab (https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/g eneral_format.html)
