The Key Assessment for this course is an individual project, a major research paper in which you will apply economic reasoning to analyze an appropriate issue pertaining to health care. You will begin by stating your thesis and research questions to be addressed. You will support your analysis using scholarly academic sources (at least 10 are required). However, the final analysis will be your own—the goal is to provide your own economic analysis, evaluation, reflection rather than to merely ‘report on’ a particular topic. Your work will be presented as a research paper of 19-21 pages in addition to a title page and reference page(s). Correct APA formatting is required. All sources must be included in the References page and inline citations used as appropriate.
Please Note: Wikipedia, Investopedia, TheBalance.com, and anything similar are not acceptable references. The Journal of Economic Perspectives, however, is an excellent starting place for papers that are relatively readable at the MBA level.
