This is the Problem/Solution Speech outline:

Problem/Solution Outline
I. Introduction. Explain your frustration.
II. State the Problem.
Define the problem.
Indicate your unmet needs. (Look at Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs for ideas.)
Give a more detailed experience to highlight your problem.

III. The Proposed Solution.
A. State your solution in general terms.
B. Show how your plan would fulfill your unmet needs.
C. Explain in detail how your plan would work.
IV. The Benefit.
A. Show the benefit in vivid terms with your plan in place.
V. Conclusion. Conclude with a quick review that includes a memorable ending.
*Important to include: Your vision of how it will look with your plan in place. *

Instead of writing your final Problem/Solution speech as an essay, please write your speech within the framework of the outline. That will keep you organized, and I can read it better to see if you filled in enough information within each outline field (within each number and letter.)

Because you are writing this digitally, you can expand the area within the outline to let you write what you need.

If you were to read it out loud, it should be about 5-7 minutes — or slightly more.

You have notes from doing research on your problem, so please use them!!
Include a bibliography at the end to show your sources.
