Intro: a description of geologic and topographic maps in general and what they’re used for. Hypothesis about general formation events (ie volcanism, erosion events, etc)
Methods: How you made your geologic map; ie sectioned off like numbers etc
Results:
-a photo/scan of your geologic map (included in files)
-Description of which rocks are grouped where (ex: Granite and Gabbro are in south-west corner)
-Description of bedding direction
Discussion:
-Interpret how the rocks in each area formed and how they might be linked together (ex: Intrusive rocks baked metamorphic rocks; be more specific!); give radiometric dates where possible, etc.
Conclusion:
Talk about how the map turned out, what insights were gained, how things could be improved/sources of error
