A typed outline and references page (in APA format) must be submitted prior to your presentation.
A minimum of 3 sources are required for the informative speech and must be verbally cited during your presentation. You may not list yourself as a source, nor does Wikipedia count.
The speech must make at LEAST the 4:30 time limit in order for the assignment to be considered complete. However, the speech should be between 6-8 minutes in length. A speech below or over the 6-8 minute time requirement will receive a reduction in points.
3 x 5 notecards will be allowed for all speeches. You may not use your full page outline during the speech.
A visual aid must accompany your speech. A PowerPoint presentation is not required, but some type of presentation software must be used. Appropriate software besides PowerPoint is Prezi or Google Slides.
Students should dress in a way that enhances their confidence during speeches and is appropriate to their topic.
Distasteful videos or pictures are not permitted as visual aids for your presentation
