Final Paper – Disability and Policy Reflection – 20% (1,200 words, typed,
double-spaced) –

Choose at least one of the social policies covered in class and respond to what you have learned.
Answer such questions as: how you think it has affected or not affected the lives of persons with
disabilities purpose in Canada. This topic should clearly fit within the scope of Disability
Studies, but should not focus exclusively on one type of disability or impairment. Rather, it
should reflect on the social context of disability.
Please double space this paper, use Times New Roman or Arial, 12-point font, Your Name, Date,
Student #, Title of the work, at the top left corner of the pages. These papers should be submitted
on Nexus for this course through drop box. Your papers must be submitted on Nexus drop box
by 11:59pm on the day the assigned reading is due.

are encouraged and, indeed, expected to refer to the sources we have used in class. In light
