There are 2 Assignments in total please.
Assigment One ( 1)
DIEP Reflection # 1
3 PAGES
SERVICE PLAMENT TOPIC
INTERNATIONALIZATION OF M .A STUDENTS IN Ontario
Graduate education in Ontario, Case study
Internationalization within Social Justice and Community Engagement at Wilfrid Laurier University.
The second reflection is the same structure as the first reflection. You will be completing a DIEP reflection on two additional experiences that have occurred during your service-learning placement. You can either identify experiences that you did not yet reflect on AND/OR you can discuss experiences where you tried out the “plan” from your previous reflection to discuss what more you have learned.
As with the previous assignment, complete a DIEP reflection on each experience as outlined below:
(1) Describe – describe what happened and what you did (the description can be concise but please make sure to include all the contextual detail I will need to understand exactly what happened);
(2) Interpret – what did this experience mean to you as a learner/social and environmental justice advocate? Why did you choose to write a reflection on this specific experience?;
(3) Evaluate – explain the connection between this experience and your learning about social and environmental justice (i.e., how and why this experience was valuable in terms of your learning?);
(4) Plan – what will you do with your learning? And how will you do it?
This assignment should be ~3-5 pages in length (double spaced, 12 point font). If you are citing academic concepts and literature, you must include in-text references to these materials, as well as a reference page (not included in page count). You can go beyond this course and draw connections to any academic ideas and materials that you feel are relevant. These can be from any of your SJCE courses, and beyond!
Assignments 2
ASSIGNMENT TWO(2) 7 – 8 PAGES PAGES
FINAL ASSIGNMET
For the final reflective assignment you will need to write an 8-10 page (double spaced) paper that identifies 4 concepts from ANY course that you have taken during the SJCE Master’s program. For each concept, you will need to identify the SJCE course where you learned about the concept, explain the concept with the support of relevant academic references, and then articulate how you see that concept as applicable to your service-learning experience.
You will want to start the paper with an introduction that describes what you did in your placement, and then gives an overview of the four concepts you will be discussing.
Then you will discuss each of the four concepts in turn (as described above), and then finish off the essay with a conclusion and a reference list.
