In this paper, students will reflect on and engage analytically with an issue of your choosing relevant to the course. Put your issue into conversation with research literature. How do your ideas build on and/or contest others’? Most importantly, develop and advance a coherent argument.
An A paper:
● States, develops, and advances a coherent argument.
● Provides evidence to support the argument.
● Is well-organized with cohesive paragraphs that flow logically.
● Demonstrates knowledge of the topic.
● Is directly related to course themes.
● Demonstrates fluency with course analyses.
● Builds on course texts and other literature—at least 8 peer-reviewed, academic references.
● Demonstrates original analytical thinking.
● Uses clear academic writing.
● Is free of grammatical, mechanical, and spelling errors.
● Is 5 pages and 12-point Times New Roman font
● Includes word count, page numbers, and a bibliography in Chicago style.
