What are specific roles school social workers fill in schools, in the community, and with families of the students that they work with?

You will write a research paper about School Social Work practice. You are allowed to choose from any topic that you have studied over the course of this semester. Describe the topic in detail. TOPIC IS:::: Promoting Social-Emotional Learning for Children with Special Needs.

Specifications:
1. The research paper is to be no less than 5 pages not including the title page and reference page and no more than 7 pages in length. Use 12 font, double space, one-inch margins. APA format must be used in all aspects of the paper.
2. The research paper must have a title page and reference page in APA style.

3. The paper will answer the following questions, you are not limited to these questions:
A. What are specific roles school social workers fill in schools, in the community, and with families of the students that they work with?
B. What at-risk population of people are served by the school social worker in this setting (think tier 1, tier 2, tier 3)?
C. What ethical dilemmas do social workers face in this setting or what present-day special issues must be addressed by the school social worker in this setting?
D. Why does this setting appeal to you as a potential social worker practitioner?
E. What major policies have shaped the work that school social workers do in schools?
F. How does confidentiality play a major role in school social work?
G. Why are multitiered supports important in school social work?
H. What roles to the school social worker play in the fight against oppression, and discrimination in the programs that are being delivered in schools?

The research paper must reference at least 5 professional journal articles (no older than 6 years) in the body of the paper with in-text citations in APA style. Also, these references must be correctly listed on a separate reference page at the end of the paper. You may have other references in your paper, but you may not use a web site unless it is a “.org” website that appears to be a legitimate organization representing your setting or at-risk population.

You must use subheadings (APA style) in your paper to separate the questions posed in the assignment.
