the paper must have the following:
Statement of the research problem
The research question
Goals/ objectives of the study
Summary of how you intend to study it ( including epistemology and theoretical frame)
Literature review critically applied to the research question:explains the issue in more detail. Shows how your study will build on and ass to what is already known. Shows why the study is important/relevant/original.
Methodological plan: detail of your methods, including design, sampling and recruitment, measures/variables/concepts, data collection and data analysis procedures, knowledge mobilization strategies
Limitations: weaknesses of the study and proposed plans for minimizing their consequences. Identify threats to validity/reliability/credibility- what are they and how will you minimize them? – people that I am interviewing may not be honest, especially if it is stigmatizing. – interview ( what is it about, experiences
Ethics: the ethical issues in the study and how you will respond to them – consent, confidentiality, information stored (paper survey, what’s happening after survey is completed)
