In the main body of your paper, be sure to include the following:
Article summary: including the research that was conducted, methods used and results found by the researchers. Cite the article’s authors consistently (see APA formatted in-text citation).
Clear connections between information in the article and information in your textbook. Be sure to link the findings of the article to material you are learning in class. Cite the textbook’s authors as well as the article’s authors when you make connections between the article and concepts from your book.
Reflection: your evaluation of or reaction to the article based on information in your textbook. Be sure to use your critical thinking when evaluating the article and the findings of the research. In the reflection, focus should be on your personal reactions/opinions regarding the article’s content and supporting your reactions based on psychological concepts, theories, andresearch findings discussed in your textbook. Cite your sources in this section, as well, as you provide evidence from these sources.
The paper must be typed, double spaced, and include at least 3-5 pages of “body” PLUS a title page, abstract page (optional), and reference page. The reference page needs to include at least two sources: the journal of the article you found, and your Psychology 101 textbook. You must write the paper in APA format (see separate handout on Canvas).You must cite your source every time you include information you gathered from an source you have used and/or mention concepts/ideas that are not your own. The sources listed on the reference page must match sources cited in the body of the paper. A link to the journal article needs to be included with the reflection paper.
