the semantic ambiguity of the following sentences by providing two or more
sentences that paraphrase the multiple meanings. Example: “She
can’t bear children” can mean either “She can’t give birth to children” or “She
can’t tolerate children.”

saw that gasoline can explode.
4. You
should see her shop.
5. From
a textbook: “Under its terms, Louis’s grandson was allowed to remain king of
Spain so long as the thrones of France and Spain were not united.”
Develop a mini lesson (approximately 10-15mins) for a group of
students that develop semantic and/or word knowledge. Presume that the group of
students are at the beginning or low intermediate level of English language
development.
