This is an argumentative paper. You must take a stand on the prompt question that reflects some originality on your part. (Don’t simply repeat what you’ve read + what we’ve discussed in class.)
You should not try to discuss everything that could be relevant to answering the prompt question. Choose one position (yes, no) and one framework (deontology, utilitarianism) to discuss.
Outside reading/research is not required for this paper. Keep your discussion confined to the assigned texts.
Make sure your paper can pass the roommate test. Is it clearly written? Is the argument explicit? Do you do enough exposition to set up your own views?
