How effectively does your chosen superhero story reflect a current issue today? What’s more, what is the significance of engaging with and analyzing issues like these through this genre today?Paper must be 5-6 pages Must include a separate Works Cited page—not included in page requirements Use only one fictional text of your choice to analyze Central claim and subclaims should all be based on your paper’s focus (the selected text), taking a position on its effectiveness to discuss a specific issue, stating reasons for that claim as well as providing a significance Each subclaim should connect to an analytical point about how that fictional text effectively reflects on or examines your issue
Each body paragraph should describe, quote or paraphrase from the primary text at least once You must cite and quote at least two other secondary sources throughout the paper Secondary sources should be based on the issue you are researching not on your movie—movie or show recaps/reviews will not count toward the 2 secondary sources Formatting: All assignments should be double spaced with one-inch margins on all sides, typed in Times New Roman 12pt font. The top left corner of your first page should include: your name, my name, the course title, and the due date. The title should be centered underneath, before the text of your essay. Do not change the font size of your title, and do not include any extra spaces before or after the title or in between paragraphs (may need to check settings on Word to fix this). On all pages, the top right corner should have your last name and the page number. The Works Cited page should be on its own page, as the last page of the final draft. Works Cited should be centered (no bold, underline, etc). Citations must be alphabetized, double spaced, and use hanging indents. Do not add extra spaces between citations. It is a research/analyze essay. You will need to quote from the main source which is the Batman: Under the Red Hood movie, as well as quote from the sources I give you. I will send you an example essay of what my teacher would want. I’ll send you the page with the links to the script of the movie for the quotes, and the links to the articles to quote from there. With each quote you must analyze and relate it to the thesis/prompt. This must be 5 pages long and work cited does not count as a page, please make the 6th page the work cited pages.
