This
is Part I of a two-part capstone assignment. In the first part of this capstone
assignment, you are to write a paper reflecting and applying what you have
learned concerning the ethical and/or legal issues that arise when working in
health care, from case studies in this course, and your leadership style in
either your current position or the position you hope to attain. You should
also examine your beliefs on how a responsible leader should act ethically and
legally, and why.

Description: For this
assignment, write an 8- to 10-page case study paper (title page and references
are not included in page count). This case study is to reflect on the ethical
and legal issues discussed in the case studies from this course.
The
emphasis on this case presentation must include the following:

brief summary of the four case studies you examined in your
reflection/application papers

A
summary of what you learned that is relevant to the health care leadership
position you currently hold or aspire to obtain

A
critique of what you learned that does not apply or is contrary to your beliefs
concerning how a responsible health care leader ought to act

A
set of conclusions about what you learned that forms the basis of your ethical
beliefs and legal understandings of how a responsible health care leader ought
to act
·
The
inter-relationship of material from each week’s Reflection/Application Papers.
What were your take-aways from each assignment and how can they be integrated
in the daily practice of being a health care provider and/or health care
manager or administrator?
A
good paper offers application stories to reflect the points that are being
made. As you prepare both this paper and your presentation, be sure to think of
stories in your life or other people’s lives that demonstrate the points you
are making concerning ethical and legal issues in health care. Be sure to
support your experiences with cited material from your readings and the videos
you watched for this course.
Format: The paper
should be 8 to 10 pages (2,000-2,500 words) in length. Use APA style and cite
sources in the paper from your readings and other media. Submit your paper to
the assignment submission folder located after this page.
