Paper #3. “My Sociological
Life” Application and Analysis Paper (Socioautobiography): The purpose of this assignment is to
encourage you to think sociologically about your life. A “socio-autobiography” is a story about you
that focuses on how your interactions with society have shaped you to be the
person you are.
The
paper should be 2 – 3 full pages (no more
than 3); the assignment page limit requirements are not flexible; it is
important that you avoid excessive wordiness, redundant sentences and phrases.
Do not repeat the same thing a different way.

APA, 6th edition guidelines. Correctly format per APA, 6th
edition guidelines the cover page, (there
is no abstract for the reflection paper) in-text citations
and References page. Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spaced (including references on the Reference page).
Do not use contractions, spell both words.

This paper is a comprehensive
assignment incorporating issues discussed throughout the course. You will be
analyzing, applying, and synthesizing different topics/ issues that were
covered in the lectures and textbook to your life. The assignment will involve
incorporating application (terms, concepts, theories, and data from class
lecture and the textbook), analysis (from a sociological standpoint; describe,
explain, and predict the outcomes), and synthesis (bring related issues
together; show the cause and effect patterns) to your personal life
experience. Correctly use a minimum of three
sociological concepts covered in the weekly readings.
An example: consider whether racial tension in your
society shaped how you view people who are different from you or whether a
community value of hard work in your neighborhood helped shape your attitude
towards academics.
