Your geographical imagination:
Close your eyes and think about the ‘Middle East’ for 30 seconds. Outline the key images and thoughts that come to mind, as well as what forces/people/activities/etc., helped influence and form these ideas in your mind (if indeed you had some!) before you took Geog 340.

Discuss two types of diversity that you learned about in this week’s materials: 1) the religious diversity of the region, and 2) general diversity (one or more of economic, linguistic, cultural, social, political, environmental…) across the region. Pay particularly close attention to the assigned textbook chapter (Ch 4) before responding here.
