Significances of and challenges to the cultural exchange between East Asia and the world in historical or contemporary times

The final project is an individual virtual presentation with slides that last 10-12 mins.
The main topic for the project is “Significances of and challenges to the cultural exchange between East Asia and the world in historical or contemporary times.” You can draw on any of the required readings, recommended movies, and lectures of this semester. While it’s required for you to relate your project to the content of this class, you also need to bring in your unique disciplinary perspective from history, sociology, anthropology, economics, business, political science, science, engineering, etc (very important, pls don’t forget).

The required contents that we cover in class are given in the document below, read through them and add them to the presentation combined with the topic. Please remember to cite the source for each picture and quotes used at the end.
