Write a paper that focuses on the negative psychological impacts the industrial revolution has on modern people. It should be somewhat simple due to my intention to pull ideas mainly from Ted Kaczinski’s “Industrial Society and Its Future.” I don’t expect some super well-researched essay with tons of scholarly sources in such a short timeframe, just solid fundamentals and some quotes and numbers to make my prof happy. This is a gened english class and you can treat it as such (don’t get too lazy though!) I’ll provide some sources I would like you to use, but feel free to provide more. I’ll also list my prof’s requirements down below. I’m pretty lax all things considered as long as the fundamentals are strong since this is an easy class. Thanks for bailing me out of this essay 🙂
Requirements:
– At least 5 sources
Here are sources I would like you to include specifically:
> https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3330161/ — I was able to access this for free with the unpaywall firefox/chrome extension
> https://psycnet.apa.org/record/2017-52083-001?doi=1 — unpaywall
> https://www.britannica.com/topic/propaganda/ — If you can find a better source go for it but honestly this is more than good enough.
> I’ll let you fill in one source on your own, in case something in Kaczinski’s manifesto catches your eye. Keep the essay focused on how the industrial revolution has caused psychological harm.
– Establish the historical context around the industrial revolution
– Include an outlook torwards the future
– Include at least 3 hard numbers
– Works Cited page does not count torwards page count.
