Racial Profiling

This Ethical Practice Plan will require you to develop a plan in which you:

A. Identify one or more problems that commonly arise(s) in your profession;

B. Identify the relevant ethical principles and apply them to the problems (this is the most important part), using any decision procedures or methods of moral reasoning, to the extent relevant;

C. Explain a practical strategy or solution for addressing the problems consistently with your application of the relevant ethical principles; and

D. Conclusion with an explanation of the benefits (to self, colleagues, profession, client/public) of addressing the identified problems according to your strategy or solution.

The term paper needs a history of the problem; talk about “seeking best results”, “treating people fairly”, and “motivated reasoning”; and then have a plan on how law enforcement can improve on mitigating or making racial profiling obsolete.
