Write a reflective essay on your process in developing the podcast. Your essay should have at least five (5) substantial paragraphs—including an introduction, three (3) body paragraphs (a solid paragraph is at least 5 sentences), and a conclusion—about your experience with writing a podcast script. By drawing evidence from your experience with podcasting, you will do a reflective self-assessment and write a well-developed analysis. Consider the following questions in your essay:
What type of podcast did I choose and what was the topic? Why did I choose the podcast format and topic?
What evidence did I choose for the podcast? Why did I choose the sources? What did I discover about the topic in developing the podcast?
How did I use the writing process as part of my script development? What challenges did I face in writing the script and how did I handle the challenges? How did my script writing relate to formal academic essay writing?
Include these elements of an essay in your writing:
A clear thesis statement regarding creating your podcast and listening to the podcasts of your peers
Effective organization
Focused support paragraphs that have strong topic sentences
Specific examples to support all your main points
Analysis of your examples.

Hello. And welcome to insider college on the Go. We hope to provide you with an inside look at the college insight each week to help you understand more about college and what you expect. The topic that we discuss is based on requests and some that we find crucial for our audience. Through a series of interviews with friends, experts, and own personal experiences and research a fresh look at our site, we know that you are bound to learn something that will be useful while on the go. Now it is time to relax, sit back, and hear what this week’s podcast is about.
Host: Hello. And welcome to inside college on the Go. This is Kaylie, and I am joined with Leslie Thatcher, and Kate Katulak, who are exceptional ladies doing excellent work in the field of education, is here today to offer the existing college students tips to help them succeed in colleges. In addition, they will provide the high school students tips that will help them transition from high school life to college life.
In the complete introduction to this podcast, you will be able to access it through another podcast. But here is a quick recap of how it went. Leslie is in her second year doing her master’s program and will offer first-hand insight into her success story in college and how it has been for her. During her first year in college, she struggled, and her grades were lagging; she will be able to shed some light on how she could turn things around.
Kate, on the other hand, is a family member of mine. Her career has primarily revolved around being an educator, teaching high school mathematics and physics. She has a passion for education and therefore wanted to have a connection with the students. However, she has also achieved her master’s degree in education and has set her focus to be a learning specialist.
These two ladies have done exceptional work and are therefore knowledgeable about the topic of discussion today, “How to succeed in college.” Let us listen in.
Leslie and Kate: We are excited to be here.
Host: Let me start with you, Kate. How can high school students prepare for the transition from high school life to college? Additionally, what tips can you give college students on how to succeed in college?
Kate: Ooh, wow, the first question is the 68,000 dollars question. Well, Leslie will agree with me that there is no earlier or earliest time to start. What I can say is that there are numerous things. However, I would like to start by saying that the earlier an individual begins preparing for college, the better. When we think about college, there are several layers of skills and self-assessment that a student must possess to succeed in college. The student has first to understand their self-awareness skills; that is, they are aware of their weaknesses and strengths (Ćukušić et al.). The student also needs to know how they learn the best and what too effectively works for them. To realize that understanding what works best for them takes time and requires honest and authentic feedback from both parents and teachers. Having an opportunity also to try new things can be the determinant between success and failure in colleges. However, it is crucial to understand that student is different and therefore the safest thing to advise the transition students is that they should start preparing for college early. Creating early allows the student to self-evaluate their internal curiosity, drive, and self-regulation to assess and manage strong emotions and uncontrollable situations that come with college life. I have no idea whether this makes sense!
Host: Yeah, it makes a lot of sense. Leslie, what do you say?
Leslie: For the parent and us, it has been a long time since we were in college, and things might have changed. However, what has not changed is that it can be stressful and overwhelming for students in colleges. There is a lot of pressure to be a part of a club, ascertain a group, and conform to what people expect of you. This is what made my grades lag in the first year of college. However, to turn things around requires that you understand your weakness and strengths, as mentioned by Kate. Understand what works best for you. Focus on time management. Adopt the skills that make you better and help you learn better. Do not be a last-minute person, the last to enter the class, the last person to turn in their assignment, the latest to join a discussion group. This means that you are not prepared. Peer pressure is the killer of dreams, and in this case, it can prevent you from succeeding and therefore avoid people who pressure you into doing things you do not like. In short, be aware of yourself. My key term and as stated in Clarke University website time management is critical.
