Develop a research problem concerning the issue you selected and describe what you would like to know about it or what a relevant knowledge gap is related to this issue.

Choose one of the current issues in development listed below to discuss in terms of the frameworks and concepts we have addressed in class or in the course literature. Develop a question regarding the issue area, select a framework, clarify your argument, and write a complete essay. In this essay, you should engage with at least six-course readings (required or recommended); you are expected to engage with more readings if you elect to answer this question only. In doing this, make sure you combine readings/lectures from different weeks. You may also opt for including additional sources such as lectures, blogs, and videos that were assigned as course material.
The essay should include the following points:
Develop a research problem concerning the issue you selected and describe what you would like to know about it or what a relevant knowledge gap is related to this issue.
Select and elaborate a framework and particular concepts we have used in class or in the readings which can be useful to understand the issues better (such as modernization, neoliberalism, dependency, the Non-western/Chinese development paradigms, women in development, agroecology, postcolonialism, post-development, capabilities, etc.). Adequately describe the approach and analyze the issue with the selected framework
How does the approach you are using help you to understand the topic? What aspects become most visible? What is important based on your chosen framework? What does this framework leave out?
