Research two short diffrent articles, passages, or advertisements involving fallacies from published materials in print or on the internet and explain the fallacies committed in them–fallacies such as appeal to pity, appeal to force, appeal to the people/populace, abusive ad hominem, tu quoque, two wrongs make a right, straw man, red herring, appeal to ignorance, appeal to authority, weak/faulty analogy, post hoc, slippery slope, hasty generalization, accident, begging the question, loaded/complex question, false choice/dichotomy, composition, division, and equivocation.

Research and find a short article, passage, or advertisement that includes a fallaciousargument.
Copy and include enough of the article or passage to show the fallacy in context but the length of copied article or passage should not exceed 150 words. (Find a short stand-alone writing or an argument paragraph pertaining to a long article, but the content of the argument being separable from the article. In the latter case, copy only the argument passage containing the fallacy not the whole news article and make sure that doing so does not distort the content of the argument.)
Underline or highlight the fallacious part of the writing, i.e. the premises and conclusion of the argument.
Identify and explain the fallacy committed in the writing with a length of approximately . (Even if more than one fallacy is detected in the writing, it still counts as one, as long as another fallacy occurs in the same copied item.)
Specify the source, i.e. the name and the date of the publication. The source must have a publication later than the first day of class.
Organize the two items in one report if you submit two. (Do not submit the items separately in two different files, but submit them in one report.) Each item must include the copied writing of no more than 150 words with the fallacy underlined on it, the source and the published date of the writing, and your analysis of the fallacy in about 100 words.
