Slide 1: Transportation
How do most people get around the area? Is there public transportation? If so, what
kind and does it appear to be used? Who uses it? What is the condition of the streets,
roads, highways? Is there traffic congestion? Is there a major highway near the
neighborhood? What kinds of vehicles do you observe? Are there vehicles in
disrepair? Are they fuel-efficient models? Are there any local train stations and/or
train traffic?

Slide 2:Environmental Health Risks
Is the area well-maintained or in disrepair? Is there garbage strewn about? Are
there trashed/abandoned cars, places for rodents or other wildlife to hide, or vacant
lots?
Describe any evidence of water, air, and/or ground pollution, or the presence of
pests. Are there any industries in the area?
What about waste disposal, such as landfills or incinerators?

Slide 3:Community Needs
Imagine you live in the community you surveyed. Discuss areas of need in your
community. Describe possible interventions that you think could improve the areas
of concern for your community.
