When learning a new subject, it is important to learn the terminology associated with that subject. Students will put together a list of important terms for each unit. It is important that you read the chapter and the powerpoint, and choose a key term that you think is critical to know for the unit. Please do not pick a random word from the chapter, as you will be asked to choose a different term. Copying and pasting is prohibited. If you copy a definition word for word, you will not receive credit and will be asked to re-do your definition (if time permits). I will be spot checking definitions. The best way to learn is to try to explain something in your own words, not copy it. Each unit exam will contain a section with 5-10 terms from this vocabulary list, so make sure to go over your class list before taking the exam. Instructions: 1. Define one key term for Unit 1. After reading the definition, try to explain it as you would to another student, providing details and examples where appropriate. (You must give your name with your definition, i.e. S. Foley.) 2. Add to, expand upon, or correct two definitions from other students. You can add more detail, or add an example or analogy to help explain their term. To set your response off from the original definition, either use RE: or change the color of the font to blue. Also include your name with your responses. I will set up a new page every unit. Use the “edit wiki content” button (see image below) to add definition or comment on someone else. This way everyone`s posts will be on the same page. Do not use the “create wiki page” button.
