What does your company stand for (basic values)? SWOT Analysis.

Purpose: Align the strategic planning component of a company with the tactical planning component of a business.
Description: Think of a business that you would like to start (real or imagined).
Develop The Following:
(1) A Strategic Plan. This will help direct the company the next few years.
(2) A Tactical Plan. This will focus on how to use resources (e.g. human capital, financial, brand, physical capital, etc.) and opportunities available to achieve your strategic objectives.
Planning requires specifying what will be accomplished and providing an intended method for implementation. Typically, the strategic plan is completed first. This enables the strategic plan to guide the organization’s activities. Strategic plans clarify how a company will serve customers and position itself against competitors over a two – five year period. Your strategic plan can include the following:
Mission statement. What is the company’s overall purpose?
Vision and values. Where would you like to see the company far out into the future? What does your company stand for (basic values)?
SWOT Analysis. What might the company’s strengths be? (W) What might the company’s weaknesses be?; (O) What opportunities do you see for this business?; (T) What apparent threats or external factors do you need to plan for?
Strategic objectives. These are specific goals (think SMART goals) that you plan to accomplish over the next two to five years. You must develop at least five strategic objectives. The achievement of strategic objectives should help the company be competitive.
To ensure that you remain faithful to your organizational vision, develop your strategic objectives from the results of SWOT analysis.
Your tactical plan should align with your strategic plan. The tactical plan will indicate specific actions that should be implemented and how you will expend resources to accomplish your strategic objectives. Keep in mind that resources can be money, people, land, equipment, ideas, relationships, brand, etc.
Format: NO WPS or DOCX, EVER. The heart of your project should be a word document, four – six pages in length, 12-14pt font, and double-spaced.
Reinforce your work with readings from the text and other resources. Use APA formatting. Supplement your paper by showing data, tables, graphs, and/or timelines. These can originate in PowerPoint, Excel, or similar programs. Visual supplements can be a very effective tool for illustrating your ideas.
Summary: Project is two parts: (1) strategic plan and (2) tactical plan. Provide at least five strategic objectives in your strategic plan that go along with your mission, vision, values, and a thorough SWOT analysis. Your tactical plan will identify how you will utilize resources to achieve strategic objectives.
