For this exercise, you will have the opportunity to assess how identity characterization could influence community norms. Someone’s identity characterization, whether it is their gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, and religion, can have a profound impact on norms within a community. It can alter them, in a positive or negative way, depending upon how society perceives them. You will look further into these identity characterizations to identify some potential outcomes based on what you experience in your community and have found in the literature.
