The US healthcare system was established based on many of the dominant cultural values, beliefs, and practices of US Americans of European heritage. These differ from some of the dominant values, beliefs, and practices among those of Hispanic/Latino heritage. Remember that these values, beliefs, etc. may be commonly seen but may not be seen among all persons of the specific heritage.
Compare and contrast at least four values/beliefs/practices commonly observed within each cultural group that is important to the provision of culturally competent care. Be sure to include why you believe the information to be important to the provision of culturally competent care (250 words minimum).
