The Walking Dead Final Essay Guidelines

You will use the prompt you choose for the outline to complete this essay. The essay will have a total of four paragraphs:
1) the introduction
2) first topic sentence body paragraph
3) second topic sentence body paragraph
4) conclusion. (See below for logistics.)

Introduction: Paragraph #1 The introduction should offer a brief summary, in your own words, of the graphic novel, The Walking Dead. Be sure to include the title of the novel and the name of the author in this paragraph. The very last sentence of your introduction paragraph will be your thesis statement.

Paragraph #2 The first sentence of this paragraph will be topic sentence #1. In this paragraph you will use your two examples to support your thesis / topic. Don’t just list your examples from the novel; you need to follow each example with an explanation detailing how it supports your thesis / topic.

Paragraph #3 The first sentence of this paragraph will be topic sentence #2. Follow the same guidelines for paragraph #2.

Conclusion This will most likely be your shortest paragraph. This paragraph will offer a summary of your overall argument, rephrased.
