To develop a plan to use an achievement test to assess students’ differing ability levels and to evaluate the plan.

Scenario:
As a teacher of an inclusive sixth-grade Language Arts class, you have a battery of achievement tests at your disposal to use for assessing student ability levels and possible needs for intervention.

FOCUS ASSIGNMENT
1. Select one of the achievement tests discussed in the chapter, and write out a plan of how you would use it, discussing its intended uses as well as its limitations. Reference concepts from the chapter to support your discussion.

Evaluation
1. For each part of your plan:
a. Explain how this part of the plan addresses the issues in the scenario.
