REPLY TO THREE DISCUSSION BOARD POST THE FIRST TWO 150 WORDS EACH, THE 3RD 100 WORDS
1)
In today’s world, we can order just about anything on the internet. Within a few days, that item can leave its factory and travel around the world to your doorstep. This is why the concept of free trade is so important. “Free Trade agreements allow preferential access to certain products from certain nations via the reduction of international trade barriers.” (Satterlee, 2018) This means that countries can generally trade without tariffs or quotas. This leads to a rough one-for-one exchange between the two countries.
From a biblical standpoint, this concept is straightforward. A recent article said, “According to this Christian economic perspective, international trade should and must exist as a charity toward others in need of products.” (Horvat, 2018) Scripture also backs up this insertion in Genesis. It says, “These men are at peace with us,” they announced. “Therefore, let them live in the land and trade in it. Look! The land is large enough for them.” (Genesis 34:21) Long story short we are all guests here on earth. God created everything we have, and we should do everything we can to share it with our brothers and sisters from around the world.

2)Regional Economic Integration
This essay will look to combine a biblical worldview and money with regional economic integration. Having a biblical worldview, will shape how decisions whether it be in a corporation or decisions made by countries in trade. With any international agreements there are groups for and against the benefits that may be produced from these agreements. The thought os regional eonomi integration “free trade helps nations take advantage of the unprecedented wealth the global eonomy is producing” (Satterlee, 2018, pg 168). In this concept countries work together to make agreements on trade that help their countries prosper; with an example being the NAFTA agreement that combines the USA, Mexio, and Canada. The regional economic integration has core values that look to have a bblial worldview basis “(1) peace, (2) freedom and the absence of violence, (3) prosperity and economic development, (4) the reduction of incidence of economic poverty, and (5) democracy, and (6) a clean and healthy environment” (Satterlee, 2018, pg 168).
With the basis of the agreements having a biblical worldview to improve lives of the people and countries, there can be individual religious values that also play a role in individual agreements, this may be one of the reason for smaller groups of countries working together “Whilst samples in these studies from Western Europe and America are dominated by Christians, it is likely that members of other religious groups will also share specific attitudes which will impact their financial decisions” (Alderman, Forsyth et al. 2017).
In talks from country to country there may be differences; however at the core of the ones making decisions it can not be denied that “one of the most remarkable results of this study is that religious openness has a strong positive effect on trade” (Helble n.d.). The foundation that is needed for all countries and people to work together “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you” (ESV John 15:12).

3)A purchase of raw materials for production should be recorded as a debit to raw materials inventory and a credit to accounts payable.
The request from the chief financial officer was unethical because he is telling me to lie about his mistake in buying too many materials. On one hand it may seem like not a big deal because you are helping the company out as a whole by the income tax lessening, causing more growth opportunities. But on the other hand, I would be violating God’s commandment over us as Christians. He says explicitly in Leviticus 19:11, “Do not lie. Do not deceive one another.” This is not the only verse discouraging lying; there are plenty, which only means that we need to pay more attention to what we say that is true or a lie. I would have to tell the chief financial office that I cannot do that for him because it is against what is right and if I end up getting fired for not following instructions, then so be it. I would much rather honor and glorify God then stay at a workplace that does not value the importance of telling the truth, no matter how it will affect them.
