In this section, discuss the kinds of information that can be sought legally concerning applicants and what information should not be solicited from applicants. Consider both federal guidelines and the guidelines of your state. Also, discuss the kinds of information for which applicant permission must be sought before it can be accessed. This will be the longest, most detailed section of this assignment. Call this section Legal Considerations.
List the questions that you would ask the candidates.
You are designing a structured interview in which all candidates will be asked the same questions. You will have approximately 45 minutes with each candidate. Develop a list of 20 questions that you will ask all applicants and specify which questions you will target for follow-up information. Provide specific rationale for asking each question and the kind of information you hope to gather with each question. Call this section Structured Interview.
Create a checklist of at least 10 questions that are illegal to ask the candidates, based upon both federal guidelines and the specific guidelines of your state.
