Vocational Development Plan – Students will complete a personal vocational development plan which examines what type of work they are interested in and why. This paper will be partially research based and partially reflective in nature. You will discuss what type of work you see yourself doing, why you are drawn to this aspect of human services, what strengths/skills do you think you have to offer, what aspects might be challenging for you (in particular focusing on any ethical considerations), what qualifications you will need, potential salary, and what type of agency might offer this type of work.
I am interested in being a mental health threapist. Some reasons I am drawn to this work are, I am caring, always wanting to help people, and I am intrested in how the mind works. I would not have ethical problems but I could find hearing about trauma influencing situations hard.
