Needs – the brief is to write a report detailing a curriculum development that I would like to
undertake at our school / setting ( I work at a primary school). I want Skill led curriculum to be our opt to curriculum. My target audience is my Headteacher / Principal.
You can take this in any direction you want to; for example you may choose to write a
proposal on decolonising the curriculum and bring in theory from the units to support this. If
you take this kind of approach, make sure that you have a clear sense of how you would
achieve this aim in practice. I will adapt to it further.
I need you to place the report in a
theoretical framework and show how the literature in this field informs your observations
and helps move them on to justify a development that clearly shows the understanding of
the scope of your subject and curriculum knowledge. I will adapt to it further.
if you can show some awareness and sensitivity to how the curriculum change
would fit in your setting i.e primary school students. Consider the profile of your learners and wider cultural issues.
