Week 8 | Your 15 Best Takeaways from MGMT 520
HERE’S THE OVERVIEW
I want to know what has made an impression on you in this class so far. This includes facts,
techniques, observations, ideas and other items that you may have had a positive reaction to – such
as: That’s something I could use in my work; I didn’t know that!; That’s amazing; How come I never
thought of that?; and so on. In other words, what has been most valuable to you so far?
I want you to draw on all of our time and resources in class including lectures and (if applicable)
teamwork time, Ted talks, articles, readings, quotes and anything else that was provided or covered.
Feel free to look ahead to coming weeks as well.
A simple list of your takeaways is fine, but feel free to add a comment or suggestion underneath
any of your items. I’d like to know why you chose it, how you might use it, or if you’d suggest spending
more time on that item or area next time I teach this class. You can also include a note to me to talk
more about any of your selections in our remaining classes.
Please give me 12-15 good takeaways. I will use your choices to shape future classes, scenarios and
perhaps even create suggestion lists for students. When you make your choices, please try to avoid
the obvious and the generic. Here is an example of a takeaway:
BAD/BORING EXAMPLE: Outcomes mapping is a really useful tool I can use (and teach my
team to use) to help create goals and objectives and to avoid mistakes and overcome
obstacles.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Also keep in mind my professor use turnitin for our paper please use only your work.
