Discuss Bandura’s idea of self-regulation and how it can be “turned off.” Using the text reading in Chapter 4, you should include at least five ways that cognitive restructuring (way of thinking) results in failure to meet or obtain moral standards. After explaining the concept of self-regulation and the cognitive restructuring types (minimum of five), include examples to illustrate the concepts of cognitive restructuring. For example, justification to shoplift because it is not as bad as murder or rape. Ergo, shoplifting is not immoral. Clearly, this is an example of cognitive restructuring to justify a bad act with moral turpitude (shoplifting.) It is permissible to use personal examples to illustrate the types of cognitive moral restructuring.
Please make sure all of the examples are accurate and accounted for. This professor doesn’t play around and wants the details followed to a T. Please make sure to read page 46 of Chapter 2 which she explains in one of the photos I uploaded.
