Introduction
During this assignment, you will be required to compare and contrast two of the social psychology theories you have studied this week. By comparing and contrasting differing theories, you will gain a broader understanding of the theories that have been used to explore human behavior and the array of variables that researchers have considered. This assignment will help you to prepare to recognize gaps in social psychology research that you will use for your final paper.
Please review the following resource for theories discussed in Week 1:
Helmreich, R. (1975). Applied social psychology: The unfulfilled promise. Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, 1(4), 548-560.
Activity First, select two (2) social psychology theories that are different enough to compare and contrast:
What variables are being tested
The hypothesis that theory is based on
The outcome (behavior) being tested
The results
After selecting two (2) social psychology theories, write a 3-4 page paper comparing and contrasting your selected theories.

Be concise in your wording. Do not use “flowery” words and descriptions.
Be a critical thinker. Study both sides of an issue, be empathetic, perspectives have value, but they are not facts.
Facts are only facts until new facts are discovered.
Provide yourself with adequate time to complete each assignment.
