content area. (LITERATURTE) Use the Discipline-Specific Elements in Text Template to complete this assignment. Include
the following in your review:
 Text overview: Title Author, Cover image, Grade Level/Lexile Level
of Content Area Focus
 A brief summary or explanation of the text. (Minimum of 100 words)
 Identify and discuss the elements of literature and explain their use when evaluating the
text for instructional use. Include
strengths, weaknesses, illustrations, or unique features
of the text. (Minimum of 100
words)
 Provide a rationale for use of the text in the selected content area. (Minimum
of 100
words)
 List and explain the ways you will integrate the text into the secondary curriculum.
(Minimum of 100 words)
 Include a title and reference page and utilize
current APA format.
