Now as a way of getting a general perception of where you are, your first written assignment is to respond to the following two questions: What is theology? What is systematic theology? Why is systematic theology relevant for africentric problem-solving? In response to these questions, I do not expect you to immediately relate it to the previous paragraphs. Rather, I am simply assessing your current knowledge of these subjects and ability to do some preliminary research and writing about them. Your paper should be 5-7 pages, including footnotes or endnotes and a bibliography. This assignment is worth 20 % of your final grade.
