These are the following questions that need to be answered with the provided character (with spaces) limit. I have provided
notes with each question that give some direction on what to write about.

4. In 1990, Salovey and Mayer defined emotional intelligence (EI) as “the subset of social intelligence that involves the ability to monitor one’s own and others’ feelings and emotions, to discriminate among them and to use this information to guide one’s thinking and actions”. The components of EI include self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Briefly describe one example of a time you harnessed your EI to resolve a difficult situation, AND one example of a time your failure to use your EI compounded a difficult situation. What did you learn about yourself in each of these situations? (2050 characters)
-As we were crusing through the streets of Los Cabos on scooters my aunt fell off and scraped her leg
-Using EI, I was aware of the crowd of people starting to gather and helped her move to a spot away from everyone to get breathing room and where I could treat her
-This involved being stern and telling people to move out of the way to make sure my aunt wasn’t stuck on the street and in more danger
-I succesfully treated her and assured her that everything was alright because I could tell she was very embarrassed
-A time when I used EI and resulted in a difficult situation was my ability to accept defeat gracefully when playing tennis tournaments
-My parents were often aggravated that I lost being invested in my tennis career resulting in disagreements and misconceptions
-As a result having EI and being able to utilize my failures to my advantage while my parents felt annoyed about my losses made the situation more difficult
5. Give an example of personal feedback in the last few years that was difficult to receive. How did you respond? (1550 characters)
-After preparing and taking my first MCAT exam I was under the impression I gave all I had and that was the best I could do
-My score was not as per my standard and I got a lot of feedback from my parents, instructors, and tutors that was hard to swallow
-The dread of starting over again overwhelmed me, but by creating a plan of action and utilizing all feedback effectively I was able to improve my score the second time taking it
