I am passionate about helping members/patients/and their families receive the care they need while ensuring the millinen and or guidelines are met. I’ve worked in healthcare for about 14 years now, and during my time as a registered nurse, I developed excellent communication and problem-solving skills. These skills allow me to collaborate with other medical professionals to find solutions to challenging utilization review cases.

6. When have you had to deal with an irate member/patient? What did you do ? How did the situation end up?
When I encounter an angry or unhappy patient/member, I start by approaching the situation with a calm and helpful demeanor. Listening to their concern and figure out what is what has made them unhappy. I will try and think about how I would solve the problem and clearly communicate what steps I will take to address their concern adequately.

a. I am focused on any job I am working at. I am devoted and passionate as a nurse manager.

I think the most challenging part within the first 60 days would be not knowing the answer to the members question. For example, the members husband calling to find out Pidemont hosp is contracted with DCP. At the time I did not know the answer and the spouse was becoming upset. However, I maintained calm and expressed my answer clearly and compassionately so he could understand my reasoning. Allowing me to build trust.
