Instructions:
Do a quick internet search on a sociological topic of interest (the more specific, the better). If using Google, try selecting “news” instead of the default “all.” (For example, I searched COVID and mental health and found a article about gender inequality, COVID, and mental health research.) Choose a popular or news article that mentions social science research (NOT scholarly outlets or scholarly articles).
In other words make sure your article choice is sociological and not an academic journal article.
For your prompt reflect on the presentation and usefulness of the research. Specifically, include:
What details about the research are provided
Who the target audience is
Questions you have about the research after reading the article
The extent the research will shape your actions or beliefs
How much confidence do you have in the research described
Be sure to add your source as an APA-style reference at the end of your post.
Lastly be sure to use course concepts from the reading and lesson to connect with your article. I will be uploading those 2 files down below.
