Jose Laurence Silva. A proposal biographical

Jose Laurence Silva. A proposal
biographical

1)
From the praise of the Liberator to the biographical elaboration around Silva:
the heroic making of it.

This point would contain
balance around the known biographies about Silva and how he has been built
the heroic figure of the character.

2 of
humble pardo to great owner: achievements of a war.

This point would contain
among other things, the family origins of the character, a brief reference
his incorporation into the war, how he became a great proprietor starting from the
military assets and his marriage alliance (with a wording and citations
documentaries other than those used in chapter II, of course),
marriage links of his offspring with members of the social elite
and economy of the time, etc. Speak quickly, at the beginning of the
section, of the differences between main pardos and poor pardos. In
summary, how from the war of emancipation not only a republic was born
led by heads of the same (the “republic of the caudillos”,
as some authors call it), but also a new political elite and
landowner to which they yielded, as a mechanism not to lose everything,
sectors and families belonging to the weakened Creole aristocracy).

3)
Military prestige at the service of two great leaders: relationships and
political elevation in the new republic won in the heat of war.

This item would include
other aspects, The return to Venezuela; Silva and the revolution of the reforms:
from his “naive” alliance with the rebels to the agreement with Páez; The return to
army: military campaigns of 1846-1847 and 1848-1849. In this subtitle the
discourse would develop, we believe, around the political relations
forged during the war, to how it is linked with Páez and Monagas (who
were his combat companions in times of the independence war) and to
how Silva fits into the newly structured caudillista system and how
he contributes to said system by virtue of his political-military service
loaned to both caudillos under the context of the new republic that emerged in
1830.

4)
Fighting an ex-companion: Silva and the federal war.

Note: in a
At first we thought of placing the Silva point and the revolution of the reforms:
from his “naive” alliance with the rebels to the agreement with Páez as a subtitle
besides; however, we believe it could integrate point number 3 given the agreement
that Páez and Silva agree on in Valencia, expressed in the decree issued on
07/23/1835, to put an end to the military uprising against Vargas in said plaza.
