1. First, listen to Malcolm deliver his speech entitled, ” After the Firebombing” while reading along in the text.

2. Next, compare the text of Malcolm’s speech in black with my annotations in blue. Compare the text of Malcolm’s speech that I did underline with the rest of the text that I didn’t underline. Try to infer (figure out) the purpose of my notes in the margins by contrasting what I wrote in each note to what I underlined in the paragraph that my note sits beside.
3. Finally, and in your own 200-250 words, describe my notes in blue as if you’re directing someone else who cannot read my notes. Do not respond to Malcolm’s text in black. Instead, respond to my annotations in blue. Explain the process of annotating as you believe I’ve practiced it. Explain the process that you plan to use in order to replicate my process by estimating the steps that you believe I took in order to complete it (at least three).
