Using the articles on Blackboard about the electoral college and making sure you refer to the claims made in the readings by all four authors – (1) Loomis, (2) Shafer (note Loomis and Shafer are part of the same document file but two separate readings/authors with one in favor of the electoral college and the other opposed to it — you need to scroll further into the document to find Shafer’s article), (3) Beckwith, and (4) Heuvel – discuss some of the arguments for AND against the president being elected by the electoral college.
