Intended course: medical and billing coding
I plan to seek a certificate in medical and billing coding because outside of wanting to further my education in nursing and becoming a nursing I wish to open up my own business providing medical and billing coding for hospitals and medical facilities. I also have my Associated of Science from Southern Union State Community College. I’ve always wanted to be in the medical field which I started out at East Alabama Medical Center as a Patient Registration Representative processing insurance and prior authorization but wanted to expand my knowledge further beyond that but wasn’t able to do so financially due to being a single mom of an 8 and 13 year old in which I also receive monthly food assistance for and Chile care assistance.
